Our nurses and HCA’s provide vaccinations and immunisations throughout the year.
These include:
- Influenza (Flu) vaccinations – usually these begin around September and are available to the groups that the NHS authorises us to vaccinate (Usually those aged over 65, pregnant women, and those who’s circumstances make them more vulnerable).
- Pneumococcal vaccination – this is a one off (for the majority of patients) vaccination for patients aged over 65
- Shingles Vaccination – this is a one off vaccination for patients aged between 70 and 79. It is not available to anyone aged 80 or over on the NHS because it seems to be less effective in this age group
